Local businesses must 'Go for Gold', says Merlene Emerson6.45.00pm GMT Tue 12th Feb 2008
Merlene Emerson, Westminster's prospective LibDem candidate for the London Assembly, is encouraging local businesses to give themselves a boost by finding out more about contracts for London 2012. Commenting, she said, "The ink is dry on more than 500 contracts, but a majority of the Olympic Delivery Authority's contracts are still to be awarded. I want to see businesses here in Westminster making sure that they win their fair share." Businesses can now register on the 2012 website to be kept up-to-date with opportunities for contracts as well as the chance to access and compete for them.
