Merlene Emerson, Westminster's prospective LibDem candidate for the London Assembly, is encouraging local businesses to give themselves a boost by finding out more about contracts for London 2012.

Commenting, she said, "The ink is dry on more than 500 contracts, but a majority of the Olympic Delivery Authority's contracts are still to be awarded. I want to see businesses here in Westminster making sure that they win their fair share."

Businesses can now register on the 2012 website to be kept up-to-date with opportunities for contracts as well as the chance to access and compete for them.

For more information on the opportunities available as well as a link to register your business, visit the London 2012 website at the following link: http://www.london2012.com/get-involved/business-network/business-faqs.php
